Hi. My name is Bri Weight. I am the digital regional director at Encoura, and I'm here today with the Digital Enrollminute. Here are three tips for how you can effectively engage students and families.
So your first tip: knowing students and families' top devices and platforms is key. As we know, students and parents are on different platforms and different devices. For example, students may be playing a favorite video game and parents binge watching their favorite TV shows. We all do it.
So at Encoura, we want to ensure we develop a cohesive strategic plan to ensure that you're getting in front of your students and parents on the right device at the right time.
Second tip: we want to ensure that your message is clear, concise to the point with one holistic goal. For example, inquiry generation—"Learn More," "Request information." Parents—"Get Involved." With application generation for students—"Apply Now," "Apply Today." And then for parents—reminding students to finish their application.
And lastly, the third point: ensure you retarget these individuals to keep your institution's brand top of mind. Not only are these students interacting with your ads or coming to your website, we want to ensure that we deliver your ads more than once, continuing to reengage, deliver your message.
Unfortunately, we know that these students or even parents have short attention span. So it's vital to continue to engage these high end tenders in your digital marketing space.
To effectively engage your parents and students, you want to ensure that you're on those top devices and platforms, and then also have a clear CTA and strong message in your marketing. And then lastly, we want to retarget those students to ensure that your institution is top of mind.
