Hi, friends. My name is Chris Tyburski, vice president for higher education consulting here at Encoura, and I'm bringing you today's Enrollminute.

The key to making sure that your team can have a truly unplugged and happy holiday season is by taking the stress out of January and planning for the future right now.

Here are three things that you can do to make sure that your team can have a restful holiday.

First, look at the top of your funnel and see how your applications are coming in. Yes, you'll get more apps over the holiday break. But if you see any gaps at all or if you have any concerns, execute a final senior search right now.

Two, start planning your yield activities. You want to be ready to deploy those tactics the moment you get back from break. So start looking at your admitted students, segmenting your messaging, and creating compelling reasons for students to choose you as their top choice institution.

And three, even if you've already done an early fall search for sophomores and juniors, it's not too late to do a second pull. And if you haven't already done the first one, get your first one in now before the holidays. Remember, you want to build as much of an advantage over your competition now to have it easier in the future.

So what are the best presents that you can give your team for the holidays?

First, you can look at your seniors and make sure that if you have any gaps at all, you're executing a last senior search.

Two, you want to make sure that you've already done your homework and have your yield tactics ready to deploy the moment that you get back from the holidays.

And three, you want to keep an eye on the future and make sure that you're building a healthy funnel for the next two classes by executing a sophomore and junior search before you go on break.

Do those three things, and your team's going to be able to unplug, enjoy time with their family, and come back refreshed, recharged, and ready to go. Good luck!
