Hi, I'm Brittany Leiva here with today's Digital Enrollminute.
Enrollment offices today are engaging four generations of students and families. On the student side, we have Gen Z and Gen Alpha, who have a lot in common, but their motivations differ. As Gen Alpha enters their college search, they're bringing their Millennial parents with them, but Gen X is definitely still in the picture.
Here are three ways to evolve your digital strategies to successfully engage all these audiences.
Make the college search process a two way conversation. Students today want active engagement with your students, faculty, and counselors online. Gen Alpha is likely to pose direct questions to you on your social media and website chatbots, so ensure you're ready to answer them on those channels.
Millennial parents and guardians are even more involved in the college search than GenX and far more digitally engaged. Make sure you have parent specific request for information forms easily available to them. Also, consider creating online communities for these parents and guardians to connect.
Gen Alpha, even more than Gen Z, expects to connect personally with colleges the same way it does with their favorite brands. Every time you connect with these students, you're learning more about their college needs and interests. Record these in your CRM and speak to them every time you engage these students and their families.
It can seem like a lot to engage multiple generations, but small steps can make a big difference.
Remember, if you're having fun, they will too.
