Hi friends! My name is Chris Tyburski, vice president for higher education consulting here at Encoura, and I'm bringing you today's Enrollminute.

You and your team have put a ton of work into this class already, and we're coming down the finish line. Let's talk about things you can do right now to yield your class and meet or exceed your goals.

First, do a deep data driven analysis of your prior two to three classes with the goal of understanding the top factors that influence a student's likelihood to yield. Then using that data, score your current admit pool to understand which students are most likely to yield and which are going to be the most difficult.

Second, use that data to then target your efforts on the students that you think you can have the most impact on right now, and also understand what calls to action you need to encourage them to do to increase the likelihood of them enrolling at your institution in the fall.

Third, make sure that you're sending messaging to the entire family. Remember, you're not just recruiting the student, you're recruiting their parents and caregivers as well. And we'll talk more about that in our next enrollment.

So there's a lot happening right now, and it could be easy to feel overwhelmed. Just to recap, simplify things down to those three steps.

  1. One, use data to truly understand your current class and what factors influence them to yield.
  2. Two, use that data to create target cohorts so that you're hitting the right students with the right message at the right time.
  3. And three, make sure that you're communicating with not just the student, but with their families as well.

Put all of that together and you'll yield a successful class. Good luck!
